Gutter Installation, Guards & Cleaning in New City, NY
New City is the county seat of Rockland and one of the towns we work in most on that side of the river. A lot of the housing here went up between the 1950s and the 1970s: split-levels, raised ranches and center-hall colonials, many on wooded lots off Route 304, South Mountain Road and the side streets around them.
Many of those homes are on their second or third set of gutters, and age shows in familiar ways. Seams start to drip. Spikes back out of the fascia. A section sags and holds water. A downspout empties right beside the foundation, and the basement gets damp after every storm. We handle all of it, from repairing a single leaking corner to a full tear-off and new seamless aluminum system formed on site to fit each run. New installations carry a 5-year warranty.
Split-levels have their own quirks. Upper roofs drain onto lower roofs, and if the leaders aren't placed right, one section of gutter ends up carrying far more water than it was built for. When we design a new system or rework an old one, we look at where the water actually goes and add or move downspouts so it reaches the ground and keeps going, away from the house.
The trees that make New City streets so pleasant also fill gutters fast. We clean and flush gutters and leaders, check hangers and seams while we're there, and can install SureFlow gutter caps if you'd like to stop climbing a ladder every fall. When a nor'easter blows through, clear gutters with the right pitch are what keep heavy rain off your siding and out of your basement.
We also clean dryer vents, which collect lint over time whether they exit through a wall or the roof. It's a quick job and an easy one to add to a gutter visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you serve the rest of Clarkstown?
Yes. Along with New City, we work in nearby communities like Nanuet, West Nyack, Congers and Valley Cottage.
My gutters overflow in heavy rain even when they're clean. Why?
It's usually pitch, gutter size, or too few downspouts. We'll look at the system and explain what's going on before recommending anything.
Can gutter guards go on my existing gutters?
Often, yes, as long as the gutters are in good shape. If they aren't, we'll tell you and give you options.
