Gutters, Downspouts & Gutter Guards in West Nyack, NY
West Nyack sits in the middle of Clarkstown, between New City and the Nyacks, with Route 59 running through and Lake DeForest just to the north. It's right in the part of Rockland we cover all the time, so getting out to you for a free estimate is easy.
Most homes here are ranches, split-levels and colonials on established lots, and many have the same gutters they've had for decades. On flatter lots, the real issue often isn't the gutter itself but where the water goes after it. A downspout that empties onto level ground next to the house has nowhere to send it, and that water ends up against the foundation or in the basement. We fix that by adding or moving leaders, putting on extensions, and making sure each downspout carries water well clear of the house.
When a system is too far gone, we replace it with seamless aluminum gutters formed on site to fit your home. Fewer seams means fewer leaks, and we pitch every run so water flows to the downspouts instead of sitting in the trough. New installations come with a 5-year warranty.
For gutters that just need help, we handle repairs: sealing leaky joints, rehanging sagging sections, replacing bent pieces and tightening loose hangers that let a gutter pull away from the fascia.
Fall cleanups are a big part of our work in West Nyack. We clear and flush gutters and downspouts and point out any damage we find. Homeowners who want fewer cleanings can have us install SureFlow gutter caps, which keep most leaves out while letting water in. Keeping gutters clear going into winter also helps prevent ice dams.
We clean dryer vents too. Built-up lint is a common fire risk, and it's an easy add-on to a gutter visit.
The Gutter Guy has been in business since 2001. Check out our services page to see everything we offer.
